About The Position

The Mill Operator is responsible for maintaining the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of an aggregate mill. The role includes performing maintenance, operating equipment, loading bulk trucks, and supporting daily production activities. The ideal candidate is punctual, safety-oriented, and self-motivated, and can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment and work in varied conditions.

Requirements

Punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
Maintenance-oriented with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Able to work safely in elevated areas and not afraid of heights.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Safety-oriented and committed to following proper procedures.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
Comfortable working in inclement temperatures and weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Able to navigate tight areas and rapidly exit in an emergency.
Able to climb ladders.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mill equipment and systems.
Safely load bulk tank trucks and accurately document materials.
Operate machinery and heavy equipment, including skid steers and other mobile equipment.
Use hand and power tools to complete repairs, maintenance, and fabrication tasks.
Assist with facility upkeep, including tasks performed at elevated heights.
Work indoors and outdoors in inclement weather and temperature extremes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to support smooth operations.
Support production as needed to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
