About The Position

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community. The Mill Operator 3 is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of processing circuits and equipment at the Brucejack Mine Site. This role supports production targets by monitoring mill performance, troubleshooting issues, responding to process changes, and maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Experience operating mineral processing circuits in a mill or industrial processing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment, circuit controls, and safe work practices.
  • Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining safety and production standards.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; valid class 5 driver’s licence required.
  • Ability to work a 14x12 remote camp rotation and perform physical duties in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned processing circuits safely and efficiently to meet production objectives.
  • Monitor equipment and process performance through routine inspections and operational checks.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Support maintenance activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate operating records and ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Participate in training programs and mentor developing operators when required.
