About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is seeking a Mill Operator 3 - Grinding Area Operator to join their growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in the second half of 2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mineral processing is an asset.
  • Minimum 18 months of milling experience, including at least 6 months as a Grinding Area Operator in a processing plant required.
  • Knowledge of grinding principles, equipment operation, and mineral-processing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, process parameters, and quality specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying conditions.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Flotation experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate SAG and ball mills, including hydrocyclones and vibrating screens, to achieve target particle size.
  • Monitor and adjust feed rates and settings to optimize grinding efficiency and quality.
  • Support Met Lab with sampling and quality checks.
  • Perform routine maintenance: lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements.
  • Report equipment issues to Supervisor or Control Room for prompt repair.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
  • Apply dust control and environmental best practices.
  • Communicate with team members to coordinate operations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of process data and maintenance tasks.
  • Know emergency shutdown procedures and act quickly in emergencies.
  • Take part in ongoing training on equipment, safety, and best practices.
