Mill/Mixer Operator - 2nd shift
About The Position
We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for running batches of ink at proper mill settings, packaging finished product in various containers and applying labels, and cleaning and maintaining machines to TPM Standards. You will also be learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities, weighing up batches by following the proper process order of addition and shifting between auto and manual steps, mixing batches by discharging pigment and operating the mixer safely, and following and adhering to all INX Mixer SOPs. Operation of Hockmeyer mills, running and maintaining optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards, creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times, and canning are also key responsibilities. You will operate a press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift. Additionally, you will act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data. Completing scheduled maintenance and utilizing troubleshooting procedures, and helping with repacks are also part of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 months of related work experience
- Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
- Pay attention to detail
- Be reliable to work assigned shift
- Be flexible to work overtime as required
- Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
- Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
- Have good attendance and punctuality
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience, but we can train you
- Mixing, mill, and pump filter industry background
- Previous experience in the ink industry
Responsibilities
