About The Position

To inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and structural parts in the Concentrator.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
• Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints.
• Time management skills.
• Manual dexterity in the use of hand tools.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years’ experience in Mill mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Previous experience operating larger than twenty (20) ton mobile crane.
• Certified in welding (MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc).
• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on gear/shaft alignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and structural parts in the Concentrator, including crushers, ball mills, semi-autogenous mills, screen decks, compressors, filter drums, horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps, flotation, classifiers and lubrication systems.
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance, identifying potential failures/noises/wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, and gear boxes.
• Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
• Perform welding (Stick, Tig) as part of maintenance/repairs.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, pneumatic air tools, and small mobile equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform work area inspections.
• Perform maintenance and repair of large conveyors in a concentrator environment.
• Train and mentor other employees.
