About The Position

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Red Seal Millwright at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 7x7 schedule, Day shift / Night shift. This opportunity is NOT a fly-in-fly-out position. Requirements

Red Seal Millwright Certification,
At least 1 year of industrial experience, preferably in mining,
Possess a valid Class 5/7N driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a positive manner and in a diverse environment,
Possess strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills,
Possess a solid mechanical ability/aptitude,
Self-motivated and able to work alone or with minimal supervision,
Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAG and Ball mills, conveyors, and gyratory crushers is an asset,
Welding experience would be considered an asset,

Responsibilities

Performs mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs working within the Mill Maintenance team,
Works safely to repair and maintain all milling equipment within the mill building, internal and external tailings system equipment, and pumping systems for underground water and freshwater supply,
Performs any other responsibilities related to the Red Seal Millwright role as required or as assigned by the department head.
