About The Position
This role is based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role is 7x7 (7 days on, 7 days off). For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts. BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required.
Requirements
- Journeyperson certificate in a Mechanical trade such as Millwright or Pipefitter
- 10+ years in mining operations or similar high-paced environment
- Self-motivated individual with experience in reactive situations
Nice To Haves
- Supervisor experience is an asset
- Potash experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Support supervisor with tools and materials coordination
- Manage third party contractors as required
- Act as point of contact between upstream stakeholders and mill maintenance team
- Attend pre-scheduling meetings and support prioritization of work
- Support Superintendent with procurement requests
- Request work permits and support team with appropriate risk assessment tools
- Perform field leadership activities as directed
- Imbed BOS principles and BHP values in regular routines, problem solving, 5S audits
