About The Position

SEMO Milling, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Mill Lead! Candidates must be willing to work a 12-hour dedicated NIGHT shift. This position is responsible for functioning as a team member of the mill production crew, performing duties as directed to ensure accurate and timely management of production processes, machinery maintenance, quality control, sanitation, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Superior mechanical aptitude
  • Team oriented
  • Previous production experience preferred
  • Physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day
  • Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds
  • Frequent changing from a seated to standing position
  • Occasional to frequent stair climbing

Responsibilities

  • Execute production process control as directed
  • Assist in machinery maintenance and repair
  • Work with Lab personnel to ensure quality control protocol is followed
  • Maintain mill production area sanitation standards at all times
  • Troubleshoot minor production problems
  • Monitor key indicators for quality, productivity, and utilization
  • Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
  • Responsible for quality of work within area
  • Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, and ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment
  • Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures
  • Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present
  • Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties
  • Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements
  • Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary
