About The Position

The Milk Receiver is responsible for testing and unloading of all raw milk received to include cleaning and sanitation of raw milk equipment. This role involves performing pre-unloading tests, unloading and recording incoming milk, and maintaining required licenses. The position also includes cleaning equipment manually and via CIP (Clean in Place), operating screening equipment for bacteria and DMC testing, and representing GLC positively to milk suppliers. Maintaining general housekeeping of the work area and reporting operational issues to the Supervisor are also key duties. All employees are expected to adhere to safety policies, procedures, and the Safe Quality Food Program to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
  • Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality & safety issues.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • SAP experience.
  • Lab experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all pre-unloading tests required.
  • Unload and keep records of all incoming milk.
  • Obtain and maintain all required licenses needed to perform job.
  • Clean, both manually and by CIP (Clean in Place).
  • Operate screening equipment as required to test bacteria, DMC.
  • Positively represent GLC to milk suppliers.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of work area.
  • Report any problems with operation of equipment to Supervisor.
  • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies & procedures.
  • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
