About The Position

MWC is a state of the art cheese and whey production facility in St. Johns, MI. MWC is a joint venture between Glanbia Nutritionals, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers Inc. (Select). Job Summary Test all products that come through the bays, verify manifests, samples, and tags per truck, CIP Silos and bays, maintain logs and communicate any irregularities to Team Leader.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Efficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Responsibilities

Communicate with lab; tankers that have passed testing and which trucks to CIP.
Verify incoming wash tags are completed correctly and within time limits.
Record wet load time, date, location, and initials on the back of the wash tag.
Communicate for silo selection or CIP order.
Open manway vent
CIP trucks; enter tanker #, connect hoses, clean manway, outlets, caps.
Fill out wash tags with seal numbers, time, date, operator initials.
Remove and clean milk caps before CIP.
Be able to connect bays for line flush, CIP.
Connect raw silos for receiving.
Collect raw products, MCRS inventory daily in the morning.
CIP raw silos, including hand cleaning door, gasket, and sample spigot.
Give breaks if needed.
Communicate truck information.
Operate and maintain CIP concentrations.
Flush and CIP cream receiving lines.
Flush and CIP bay lines
Record information from silo and line CIPs.
Maintain Charm antibiotic certification as an Industry Analyst.
Follow all antibiotic testing procedures when working in the lab.
Follow and complete work on the environmental cleaning log stored in the intake lab.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ensure that all seals are collected and stored correctly.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor, including covering for other employees.
Ensure all tankers are flushed and completely emptied before CIP.
Know what quota is and how to reach it each day.
Foam clean and scrub all bays and unloading pipes if needed.
Know what must be done before a tanker is unloaded.
Pick up seals and garbage outside bays on the driveway.
Make sure receiving bays are clean.
Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses, and upholds the culture of MWC non-negotiables.
Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance).
Research issues & incidents with internal teams, business partners and customers in a collaborative manner that includes professional, honest and transparent communication.
Work with internal and external teams to implement process improvements and/or procedural changes that eliminate non-value added activities and drive more business value.
Assist with training of new team members. Facilitate or oversee training and standard operating procedure reviews to ensure new hires develop proficiency of role.
Proactively engage to support our customer needs on an end to end basis and strive to meet or exceed SLA timelines. Take ownership of customer requests and engage with internal teams as needed and within a timely manner.
Meet or exceed all key metrics in line with expectations for role. Continually update knowledge of products, product changes, processes and services offered to deliver a dynamic customer experience.
