About The Position

Since 1952, Lawson Products has worked hard to make our customers' jobs easier by improving their operational efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. As a leader in the MRO industry, we partner with customers to make sure they have the right maintenance and repair parts on hand when needed. We’re looking for a Military Service Representative responsible for assisting Lawson’s military sales force in the servicing of targeted military customers. This is a temporary role.

Requirements

High School Diploma required, associate degree preferred, with 1 - 5 years of MRO experience in sales or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools for assembly, drilling, and cutting, including pallet jacks.
General knowledge of MRO items and their application.
Proficiency with personal computers, particularly knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to comprehend information from both oral and written documentation.
Ability to establish and create relationships at all levels, communicating effectively with customers and sales representatives.
Must be detailed orientated and team player.
Self-directed and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to display and demonstrate Lawson’s Values.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain and maintain vehicular insurance as required by policy.

Responsibilities

Travels 7 – 14 days at a time to install standard sets and storage products in shop bays, semi-trailers, and shipping containers.
Assembles items that arrived disassembled (e.g., work benches, shelving, etc.)
Installs standard sets and storage products in shop bays, semi-trailers, and shipping containers.
Installs Torrent Power Washer machines, training customers on required maintenance.
Inventories customer sets for refill, putting away product when it arrives.
Inspects and maintains product labels on customer sets.
Assists customers in locating the correct products in the sets required to complete maintenance repairs.
Works with sales reps over the phone to assess customer-assistance requirements.
Assists customers in the absence of the assigned sales representative, including supporting product and equipment training for product lines.
Shares best practices for completing installations, assisting in the development of training for sales representatives to improve workflow efficiencies.
Books travel arrangements, maintaining expense and mileage records in accordance with Lawson policies.
Other duties as assigned.
