About The Position

As a defense mission professional, you’ll bring your strategic, operational, and tactical expertise to work on projects for the Joint Force. You’ll develop theater and campaign level plans on the integration of autonomous systems into military planning. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and systems related to autonomous systems and national security. You’ll guide the work we do for a direct reporting portfolio manager for unmanned offensive and defensive systems, and the solutions we deliver for defense planning and military missions. Join us. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience researching, writing, and providing recommendations pertaining to national security
  • 8+ years of experience supporting strategic or operational planning as a Strategic Planner at a U.S. military staff, including the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, or Department of Defense
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with senior military and civilian leaders
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of effort under rigid timelines
  • Ability to help manage multi-stakeholder forums and capture key outputs for senior leaders
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Department of Defense doctrine, education, concept development and experimentation, training, exercises, and lessons learned
  • Experience with the Joint Staff Planning Process or the Joint Operation Planning Process
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Master’s degree in Security Studies, International Affairs, or Public Policy
  • Graduate of an Advanced Military Planning School such as SAMS, SAWS, or JAWS
