About The Position

The Exercise Planning SME provides expertise in planning, designing, and executing integrated training exercises and operational scenarios supporting MESF readiness. Telum is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Southern Pines, North Carolina next to Fort Bragg. Founded in 2008, Telum specializes in Logistics Support, Operational Support, Training and Readiness Support, and Professional Support Services for the Department of War.

Requirements

  • 8 years of operational, training, and readiness experience with warfare qualification, preferably within expeditionary communities.
  • 5 years of experience in Planning/Exercise planning; NECC experience desired.
  • 3 years of recent NECC experience as a uniformed service member or a government contractor "Recent" is defined as within the past 5 years; MESF experience highly desired.
  • 5 years of Navy expeditionary relevant operational, training, and readiness experience.
  • Must have served as a Senior Enlisted/Department Head (Maritime Staff Operator Course or equivalent Graduate desired).
  • Must have experience with oral briefings and writing skills to engage with leadership within MESF and organizations within the community of interest and personnel.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency.
  • Must have active SECERT clearance at time of proposal submission and ability to receive and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • NECC experience desired.
  • MESF experience highly desired.
  • Maritime Staff Operator Course or equivalent Graduate desired.
  • PMP-RMP Certification desired.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate basic and advanced phase training exercises.
  • Develop exercise scenarios (MSELs), evaluation criteria, and after-action reviews.
  • Support Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) processes.
  • Provide analytical support for exercise execution and readiness validation.
  • Integrate intelligence cycle and IV&V processes into exercises.
