This position provides exceptional customer service to members of the Armed Forces, family members, civilians, and contractors. Responsibilities include assisting customers, advising on eligibility requirements, and processing applications to determine eligibility. The specialist will provide products in various MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The role involves selecting appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or making simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals, primarily the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guide. Basic tasks are associated with personnel accounting, IPPS-A, Military Personnel Files, Soldier Readiness Processing, Reassignment Processing, In/Out Processing, Enlisted Personnel Promotions, Personnel Actions, Personnel Manning, Transition Processing, Pre/Post Retirement Services, Customer Service to Casualty Assistance, and IPPS-A Operations and Maintenance and Training. The specialist will track and meet required suspense for products, reports, and deliverables, and refer recognized problems to others. Additionally, the role involves performing as an alternate ID card operator, handling all functions required to issue ID cards, ID tags, Geneva Convention cards, Teslin cards, and CAC issuance-related tasks, including review, research, and verification of source documents eligibility, and discussing entitlements. U.S. Citizenship is required, and candidates must pass an extensive background investigation.
