About The Position
Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Military Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide weekend and on-call coverage for Riverside Orthopedic, Sports Medicine & Physiatry Specialist in Newport News, Virginia. This role is part of Riverside Health Medical Group, a team of respected leaders dedicated to collaborative care and patient well-being. The practice offers a full range of surgical and non-surgical solutions for orthopedic disorders, including total joint replacement, sports medicine, hand and wrist, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, and trauma and fractures. Services also include diagnostic and imaging, emergency and trauma care, home health, and physical therapy.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Current DEA
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative approach with other physicians and providers
Responsibilities
- Provide weekend and on-call coverage for orthopedic trauma.

- Care for patients with a focus on returning them to life and play.
