The Military & Veteran Liaison is responsible for building census in Acadia facilities by conducting business development activities in assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have experience working with VA Medical Centers and/or active-duty bases for professional referral generation. Responsible for assessing the behavioral health services in the state to determine opportunities available to market Acadia’s Military and Veteran focused programs. Present Military Focus Support (MFS)/Acadia services to decision makers and coordinate referrals and admissions to Acadia Programs. Facilitates the receiving of referrals from the field, reviewing the referral packet to determine what facilities in network would best meet the treatment needs of the referral, ensuring a quick disposition from the facilities, targeting a facility for admission and then managing the case to admission ensuring that the needs of the referral source and patient are met; to include clinical updates, communication and discharge planning. Serves as a liaison for both the facilities and referral sources to adequately relay pertinent information, i.e. concerns/problems that may arise during the care of a patient.
