The Military Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating logistics activities for our overseas military contract. The person in this position works closely with logistics and operations teams to meet the needs of military clients and delivers high-quality service and accuracy. The Military Logistics Coordinator will report to the Military Sales Manager and Military Customer Service Manager. This position requires a high level of organizational skill and accurate data entry.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in international commercial exporting is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite is a must and AS400 is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in data entry and 10-key by touch.
  • Very organized to meet weekly deadlines and cutoffs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team player, able to collaborate effectively under pressure to meet department goals.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience in international commercial exporting is preferred.
  • AS400 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update shipping logs for current, upcoming and future shipments.
  • Process container bookings using a government run booking program.
  • Prepare and organize weekly paperwork and labeling documents for warehouse processing.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding paperwork and weekly shipments.
  • Complete and maintain Bill of Lading documents, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Process invoices and build shipment packets for final departure.
  • Coordinate the delivery of merchandise with the Purchasing Department to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate efficiently with trucking and shipping line partners.
  • Conduct quality checks for products moving through the warehouse.
  • Assist Military Sales Manager and Military Customer Service Manager in special projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
