About The Position

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking an experienced Milieu Manager to lead their non-clinical Behavioral and Transportation departments at their new Greater Tampa, FL location. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, driving efficiency and compliance, and fostering a collaborative culture to support both staff and patient experience. The position reports to the Executive Director and requires a full-time commitment with some flexibility. The role is based on-site in Seminole, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role, preferably in a behavioral health care setting.
  • 3+ years of experience in addiction treatment or mental health care, with a strong understanding of residential treatment operations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record for the last 3 years.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Familiarity with patient confidentiality, healthcare code of ethics, relevant state regulations and Joint Commission standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, data analysis, project management, and knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare or a related field.
  • Certification(s) related to addiction treatment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another language.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Behavioral Health Services, Housekeeping, Transportation, Dietary, and Maintenance departments.
  • Ensure all departments meet organizational goals and maintain high standards.
  • Supervise, train, and monitor team members to align with company standards and values.
  • Manage intake and discharge processes.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to establish schedules.
  • Address patient-related operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure adherence to safety rules.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, CFR-42, and other regulations.
  • Communicate directives and policies clearly to directors and supervisors.
  • Hold meetings to promote understanding, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Utilize strong judgment to address operational challenges.
  • Delegate tasks efficiently.
  • Generate monthly reports to monitor progress.
