About The Position

This is a temporary to full-time position for a Mig Welder. The primary responsibility involves MIG welding T-bar pieces across and downhill. Welders will fabricate and weld using GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, and SMAW processes, following prints and other documents. Candidates must be able to pass visual, bend, and penetrant tests. The role requires performing fabrication and welding operations in accordance with ASME and company standards, ensuring quality weld joints with carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex materials. Welders must be proficient in reading prints, interpreting weld symbols, reading work instructions, and communicating in English. Responsibilities also include performing liquid penetrant and other non-destructive testing, conducting quality checks, and inspecting materials and production to ensure conformance, identifying and communicating any non-conforming products per SOP or applicable process.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Prior manufacturing experience required.
  • 1 year experience using mig/stick welds and oxyacetylene torches required.
  • Drill press machine or related experience required.
  • Overhead crane experience required.
  • Must be able to pass a visual, bend and penetrant test.
  • Must be able to perform quality weld joints with carbon steel, stainless steel and duplex materials.
  • Must be able to read prints, interpret weld symbols, read work instructions, and communicate in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • High School or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Candidates interested in company-sponsored GED program will be considered.
  • Forklift operation certification preferred.
  • Scissor Lift certification preferred.
