About The Position

Standard Iron is seeking skilled MIG Welders to join their growing team. The role involves safely delivering defect-free, on-time products while actively reducing waste. The company is looking to hire up to 6 welders for their facility in Hartford, WI. The pay range is $21.00 - $30.00+ per hour, with additional shift premiums up to $5. The position offers weekly pay, a positive work culture with various events and amenities, and on-site training for skill development and AWS qualifications.

Requirements

• Previous welding experience is preferred.
• Strong command of all welding positions.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to achieve D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW qualifications during your training period.
• Must pass welding assessment (75%+) within the first week.
• Must pass general shop assessment (100%) within the first week.

Responsibilities

• MIG Weld mild steel ranging from thin 20-gauge up to heavy 1-inch plate.
• Fabricate hydraulic tanks, fuel tanks, fenders, platforms, and custom sheet metal designs.
• Read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.
• Perform machine setups.
• Use grinders/abrasives for clean finishes.
• Safely operate cranes, positioners, magnets, hooks, and fixtures.
