About The Position

Our Welders are responsible for Mig welding, using spray arc transfer processes to weld pipes, cyclones, and other applications. This role requires a commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment. The welder will also operate and maintain robotic welding equipment, set up and adjust welding equipment, monitor the welding process, and perform routine maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience Mig Welding with Spray Arc Transfer or Short Arc transfer Welding.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company policies.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
  • Must be able to stand, sit and bend in a normal welding shop.

Nice To Haves

  • Fabricating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mig welding, using spray arc transfer processes to weld pipes, cyclones, and other applications.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Inspect and measure machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
  • Weld components in flat and vertical welding positions.
  • Examine finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications.
  • Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment.
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust settings as needed.
  • Monitor the welding process to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Follow instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects.
