About The Position
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on fitting and welding sheet metal components based on detailed specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy in every build.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience
- Experience working with light gauge sheet metal (.060†to 1/4†thickness required)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Fit and assemble sheet metal components using clamps and fixtures
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and welding symbols
- Inspect and measure finished work using calipers, templates, and other tools
- Weld various materials including steel, aluminum, and alloys
- Perform tack welding, grinding, heat bending, and assembly as needed
- Determine appropriate welding techniques for each job
- Maintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
