About The Position

This is a full-time MIG Welder/Fabricator position that offers a $2000 sign-on bonus, paid out over the first year of employment. The starting pay rate is determined by a weld test and depends on the candidate's skill level. The role involves building subassemblies for compactors and/or balers, welding in various positions, and assembling components according to specifications. The position requires the ability to meet production standards, maintain a good attendance and safety record, and work overtime as needed. A positive attitude is also expected.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years MIG Welding experience.
Experienced MIG welder.
Can read blueprints or drawings proficiently.
Ability to use tape measure.
Ability to do basic math and tape measure reading.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving different variables.
Stand, walk, and talk, or hear.
Reach with hands and arms.
Climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

Build Subassemblies for compactors and/or balers utilizing existing fixtures.
Weld to acceptable quality expectations on all weld positions (flat, down, over).
Assemble and weld sides, floors, and dog boxes on compactors.
Assemble and weld sides, floors, tops, doors, and wire gates on balers.
Meet production standards.
Maintain good attendance record and be able to work overtime as needed.
Maintain good safety record.
Maintain positive attitude.
Positions parts together by means of clamps, tack welds, and along layout marks.
Part positioning may occur at floor, table, shoulder, and above shoulder levels.
