About The Position

Tradesmen International is hiring experienced MIG Pipe Welders for projects in or around Pipersville, Pennsylvania. This is a first-shift opportunity paying up to $35 per hour based on experience, plus $125 per diem for travelers living 60 or more miles from the jobsite. Welders will work alongside craftsmen focused on safety, productivity, and quality workmanship.

The role involves MIG/GMAW pipe welding, fabricating ductwork and modular mechanical systems, and fitting and welding primarily 4- to 12-inch pipe. Work includes Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 black steel pipe, welding in multiple positions, and producing welds that meet ultrasonic testing requirements. The position also requires interpreting fabrication drawings and weld specifications and maintaining a clean, safe, organized work environment.

Requirements

• Previous MIG/GMAW pipe welding experience.
• Ability to pass a 6G weld test.
• Experience working with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 black steel pipe.
• Experience performing root, fill, and cap welds.
• Ability to weld in multiple positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
• Experience producing welds subject to ultrasonic testing (UT).
• Strong fitting and fabrication skills.
• Reliability and safety consciousness.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG/GMAW pipe welding.
• Fabricate ductwork systems and complete modular mechanical systems.
• Weld Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 black steel pipe.
• Perform welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Complete short-circuit root passes with pulse fill and cap techniques.
• Fit and weld pipe ranging primarily from 4 to 12 inches.
• Produce high-quality welds that meet ultrasonic testing (UT) requirements.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
