The Midstream Engine & Compressor Analyst/Sr/Lead role objective summary is: This role performs mechanical troubleshooting, emission testing and predictive maintenance on compressor units and processing equipment.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience in the natural gas industry with a mechanical background
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Products
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and research skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision at times
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated with high level of energy and initiative.
  • High School Diploma / GED

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field
  • Maintenance experience with natural gas compression equipment
  • Windrock analyzer experience
  • Testo Emission Analyzer experience
  • Basic knowledge of gas quality processing and conditioning
  • Fluent in Caterpillar OEM software to navigate, adjust, calibrate and troubleshoot (Caterpillar ET)
  • Advanced natural gas engine and compressor troubleshooting skills
  • Vibration analysis experience
  • Strong technical understanding of engine combustion principles

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strict adherence to Company safety standards and procedures.
  • Perform data collection, using specialized tools, to predict, diagnose, and assess mechanical equipment health.
  • Follow pre-determined "Routes" to collect data from various equipment monitoring points including: vibration levels, process temperatures, pressures, and other operating conditions.
  • Analyze data sets to identify anomalies, develop trends, and diagnose equipment performance issues.
  • Consolidate large data sets and analysis into prescriptive recommendations for preventative maintenance work plans.
  • Provide "On-Site" Troubleshooting Support to Operations Personnel as required to address equipment malfunctions and performance issues.
  • Utilize data obtained from various equipment/locations to develop "Normal/Abnormal/Condemning" criteria for condition assessments.
  • Perform engine emission exhaust sampling and/or emission testing as required for engine health assessments and/or site compliance requirements.
  • Gather data from multiple sources including maintenance history, oil analysis, vibration data, and other data sets to develop an evaluation of equipment condition.
  • Competency in Vibration Analysis. Utilize vibration data, including FFT analysis, to detect component degradation and/or failure.
  • Demonstrates technical strength in areas of reciprocating compressor operation, performance, and optimization.
  • Demonstrates a strong technical understanding of engine combustion principles, operating characteristics, and impacts on engine exhaust emissions.
