About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Middleware Administrator. This is a full-time, contract position with a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) for a duration of 12-18 months. The role is located in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte, NC, or Jacksonville, NC. As a Middleware Administrator / Middleware Engineer / WebSphere Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting enterprise Java-based applications and middleware infrastructure in a banking environment. The client is seeking an individual who can install, configure, support, patch, troubleshoot, and manage enterprise middleware platforms, with a specific need for someone to migrate WebSphere to Tomcat.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Information Technology professional with 5-7 years of experience
Must have hands-on experience in WebSphere to Tomcat Server migration.
Middleware products: Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat Apache Tomcat
Jira
DevOps
BPM products: Appian
Operating System: Linux
Java/Container Framework Knowledge
Knowledge of shell, jython, and perl scripting
Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS,DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links)
Experience with Release Deploy Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
Work with WebSphere Extreme Scale, BPM

Responsibilities

Provide middleware administration duties for Global Information Security (GIS) platforms, end-to-end, including WebSphere, jBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS (extreme scale cache).
Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives.
Ensure production stability from an ongoing support standpoint.
Ensure middleware platforms are patched with the most current version of software, helping to manage risk to the customer.
Provide Middleware Server administration which includes server installation, configuration, performance tuning and production support.
Work with customers (application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis and provide Middleware and Java support.
Create, maintain and support the application deployment templates.
Serve as a J2EE architect and make recommendations on J2EE best practices in application development.
Design Middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability, ensuring all solutions meet Policy, Baseline, and Standards along with business requirements.
Provide technical consultation to other team members and their supported areas.
Communicate with business partners at an enterprise level.
Interface with internal customers and external vendors for consultation at various points of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Execute production changes for Bank integrated and regulatory releases with precision.
