About The Position

Reaching All Minds Academy is hiring a Middle School Teacher in Durham, North Carolina. The teacher plans and delivers instruction aligned with school objectives, the established curriculum, subject matter, grade level, and student needs. The role includes assessing the effectiveness of instruction and student achievement, adapting teaching approaches to individual learning differences, and maintaining an appropriate classroom environment. The teacher also encourages students, parents, and others to participate in daily instructional activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field; foreign equivalent degree accepted.
• Valid North Carolina Professional Educator’s license.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate, as requested, in developing annual school objectives and plan an instructional program that incorporates them.
• Incorporate learner objectives compatible with the subject, grade level, established curriculum, and student needs.
• Assess the instructional program to determine its effectiveness.
• Maintain effective subject-area knowledge and knowledge of child growth and development.
• Ensure instruction, materials, and procedures are appropriate for the subject and student needs.
• Encourage students, parents, and others to participate actively in daily instructional activities.
• Assess individual student abilities and devise techniques that accommodate differences in learning rates, styles, and ability levels.
• Monitor individual student achievement continuously.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods to meet student needs.
• Use professional classroom management techniques to maintain a suitable instructional environment.
