About The Position

CUSD 303 is seeking a qualified candidate as a MS Special Education Resource Teacher LTS at Thompson Middle School from 10/29/26 - 1/29/27 (anticipated) in the 26-27 SY. To work as part of our Substitute Team, you will need one of the following: a Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL), Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education), or a Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree. We do not accept Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses in D303.

Requirements

• Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL)
• Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education)
• Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree
• Two letters of reference
• Fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE

• Daily Substitute Teacher Rate: $145 per day
• Loyalty Rate (after 31 days as a District 303 Daily Substitute Teacher): $165 per day
• Long Term Substitute Teacher Rate: $220 per day
