This position is for a Middle School Special Education Behavior Technician, a 1.0 FTE role for the 26/27 school year. The job goal is to assist professional staff in district Special Education Programs (Therapeutic Learning Center [TLC], Skills, Integrated Specialized Services [ISS] and LAUNCH) with core curriculum delivery. This involves utilizing unique knowledge, skills, or training to support whole-class instruction, behavior management, social facilitation, and/or delivering specialized instruction to individual or small groups of students. The technician will facilitate student integration, enhance instructional and behavioral strategies, collaborate with staff, modify materials, monitor student progress, implement behavior plans, provide student support in various school environments and community settings, and support academic and behavioral programs. The role requires performing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) daily, practicing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) skills, planning and facilitating socialization, fostering student independence, providing coverage for staff, maintaining attendance, completing safety training, supporting student physical needs, and adapting to changing student needs and work environments.
