Develops and implements an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student. This role requires a teacher who can establish and implement daily written lesson plans, evaluate student learning and revise instruction accordingly, and structure teaching to encourage independent thinking by students. The teacher will effectively prepare and use instructional materials and technology resources, maintain appropriate expectations for all students, and differentiate instruction. Maintaining appropriate student classroom behavior, demonstrating knowledge of the subject/grade, and showing resourcefulness and flexibility are key. The position also involves displaying enthusiasm for teaching, utilizing strategies to meet class objectives, student needs, and abilities, and effectively motivating students. Wise management of instructional time, modeling acceptable written and oral expressions, and effective communication with students, parents, and the community are essential. Providing appropriate feedback to students is also a core responsibility.
