About The Position

We are seeking a reflective, dedicated, and passionate Middle School Science Teacher to serve as an instructional leader in our science classrooms. Partner with SMART Management and BridgePrep Academy of Orange in our mission to deliver a rigorous, inquiry-based academic experience enriched by our strong school culture, hands-on lab investigations, and commitment to STEM excellence. Join a collaborative network of 21 charter schools across Florida with active instructional coaching, designated planning support, and ongoing professional development. Implement high-quality, research-based science curricula, interactive lab experiences, and state-aligned assessments with the backing of a dedicated campus leadership team. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
Valid or eligible Florida Teaching Certification in Middle Grades General Science (5-9) or Science (6-12).
Alignment with SMART Management and BridgePrep Academy’s mission, values, and student-first culture.
Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Prior instructional experience teaching middle school science.
Master's Degree in Science Education, STEM, or a related subject area (eligible for salary supplement).

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned daily middle school science lessons; utilize lab safety protocols, hands-on experiments, and formative data to provide targeted small-group and individual instruction.
Establish consistent routines and implement schoolwide behavior systems with fidelity, creating a safe, inclusive, and inquisitive learning environment.
Differentiate instruction for diverse learners (ESE, 504, ELL, and intervention) by implementing required accommodations and modifications.
Actively engage families as true partners in learning through consistent, clear communication regarding student progress.
Submit lesson plans, student data, and compliance documentation on time; actively participate in weekly PD, department check-ins, and coaching sessions.
