Responsibilities

Deliver lessons using culturally-responsive pedagogical strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth.
Prepare and internalize curriculum, creating engaging unit and lesson plans.
Administer, grade, and analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
Maintain accurate student records.
Utilize the Responsive Classroom approach to foster a positive classroom culture.
Foster an environment built on restorative practices.
Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels.
Attend and participate in meetings, including PLCs, grade level meetings, and PD sessions.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and ongoing parent communication.
Ensure student safety at all times.
Assist with non-instructional supervision of students (arrival/dismissal, hallway monitoring, substitute teaching, lunch/playground duty, extracurricular activities).
Attend field trips, which may include overnight trips.
Actively engage in identity work to dismantle white supremacy culture.
