About The Position

The Middle School Classroom Teacher's goal is to impart knowledge, wisdom, and information to students in a biblical manner. To plan, instruct, and organize instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their spiritual, educational, and social development. Our teachers understand the mission of Wake Christian Academy and strive to live it out with their students daily.

Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the area being taught
Exhibit a consistent Christian testimony (Galatians 5:22-23)
Demonstrates a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3, Ephesians 2:8-9)
Participates in a local Bible-believing church
Ability to apply Biblical solutions to problems
Personal integrity and self-motivation in the fulfillment of the WCA mission
Possess strong classroom management and organization skills
Speak, read, and write English fluently
Must be able to read and write cursive
Desire for continued career improvement
A calling to Christian education and a love for students
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, and telecommunication.

Nice To Haves

Classroom experience in teaching science is desired
Degree in education or other with education courses, and knowledge of subject matter
ACSI Certified within 2 years of hiring
CPR/First Aid certified
An understanding of Google Apps and the Veracross School Management System is desired
