KIPP Public Schools is a national network of tuition-free public charter schools. KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools (KPPS) is part of this network and currently leads eight schools serving 3,400 students in North and West Philadelphia. KPPS is committed to creating joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students for college, career, and beyond. The role involves ensuring students feel affirmed, valued, and challenged, creating rigorous lesson plans, infusing core values into daily lessons, and maintaining a productive learning environment. It also includes analyzing student work, providing accommodations, maintaining records, and serving as a role model. Professional responsibilities include developing one's craft through coaching and professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and embodying KPPS core values. School responsibilities include attending school functions, contributing to school-wide events, building relationships with families, performing support duties, and chaperoning field trips. Additional responsibilities may arise during the school year.
