About The Position

The Manchester School District is seeking a Middle School Principal for Southside Middle School. This position involves coordinating curriculum, developing budgets, facilitating scheduling, overseeing in-service training, community involvement, monitoring athletic programs, hiring new staff, implementing teacher evaluations, staff management and development, overseeing the Special Education Program, coordinating student activities accounts, facility maintenance and management, administrative reporting, health care administration, emergency administration, and supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in educational administration and/or equivalent as required for state certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years of classroom experience
  • Minimum of three (3) full years completed as an administrator prior to the start of the school year after the hire date.
  • Certified educators who have taught students regardless of the setting are considered to have classroom teaching experience
  • New Hampshire Educator Certification of Principal
  • All minimum qualifications and requirements shall be met at the time of position posting

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Develops budget.
  • Facilitates the scheduling of art, music, physical education, health education, library science, and any other school based activities.
  • Coordinates the activities of the school’s in-service training program.
  • Provides community involvement.
  • Monitors the athletic and intramural programs.
  • Hires new staff as needed (preliminary screening, initial interviews by committee and Assistant Principal).
  • Implements the teacher evaluation program.
