To help students learn subject matter and skills that will enable them to excel in a global society. This role involves instructing assigned classes, planning a program of study that meets individual student needs, and creating a conducive learning environment. The instructor will prepare lessons, encourage student behavior standards, and guide the learning process towards curriculum goals. Various instructional techniques and media will be employed, and student accomplishments will be assessed regularly with progress reports. The instructor will also diagnose learning disabilities, ensure student safety, maintain accurate records, and assist administration with policy implementation. Reasonable classroom rules and order will be maintained. The position requires availability to students and parents outside instructional hours when needed, and planning/supervising assignments for aides and volunteers. Professional competence should be maintained and improved through attending staff meetings and serving on committees. The ability to communicate in more than one language or willingness to learn is also a requirement. Other duties as assigned and regular attendance are expected.
