About The Position

Eastpointe Community Schools is seeking a passionate Middle School Music Teacher for Eastpointe Middle School, a grade 6-7 building serving approximately 300 students. This role involves inspiring excellent music instruction, guiding music learners, and fostering strong relationships with families, students, and the community. The district is focused on transforming lives through a partnership with MISD, MDE, and UVA-PLE, emphasizing increased educational expectations, a culture of support, and nurturing students' academic, behavioral, and interpersonal needs. The school environment offers opportunities for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), coaching, extra-curricular activities, and Curriculum Department Teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or beyond.
• State of Michigan Teaching Certification, or in process.
• Organizational Skills (Instruments, Uniforms, Schedules, Inventory, Materials).
• Classroom teaching experience.
• Successful record of School Music Leadership.
