About The Position
Back to Basics Learning Dynamics (B2B) is seeking a part-time virtual Middle School Math Tutor to provide group tutoring instruction during school day hours. B2B is a premier education services provider with nearly 40 years of experience, offering a wide range of educational services. Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience with middle school-aged students (excluding student teaching)
- A minimum of 2 years of virtual tutoring
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level
- Ability to manage student(s) in a small (4) group setting
- Have a reliable internet connection and computer for virtual tutoring
Responsibilities
- Provide small group tutoring for instruction in middle school math in a virtual setting
- Use creative approaches to make the subject engaging and relevant
- Maintain accurate documentation of students' sessions and progress
- Communicate with parents regularly and the student's teacher as needed
- Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences
- Meet students where they are, build on what they already know, and help them move forward by developing the academic skills and confidence they need to succeed.
