About The Position

St. Malachy Catholic School, a preschool through 8th grade school with an enrollment of 515 students, is seeking a faith-filled middle school Math teacher licensed to teach algebra and geometry for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing lessons for 6th through 8th grade students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of Indiana Math Standards and current best practices for diverse student needs. They should be able to design and facilitate engaging lessons, provide ongoing student support, and create a positive classroom environment with Christ at the center. A strong faith and willingness to share it with students is essential. Collaboration with grade-level team members, other teachers, special area teachers, and support staff is expected. Excellent organization and communication skills, along with flexibility, are required.

Requirements

Licensed to teach algebra and geometry.
Strong knowledge of the Indiana Math Standards.
Knowledge of current best practices to meet diverse student needs.
Ability to design and facilitate engaging lessons.
Ability to provide ongoing student support.
Ability to create a positive classroom environment.
Strong faith and willingness to share that faith with students.
Excellent organization skills.
