About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a middle school math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is available at KIPP Impact Academy. Teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned by their Principal. The role involves teaching one core subject to a specific grade level, with class sizes typically around 26 students. Fifth grade is considered part of the middle school model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in Elementary Education K-6 (for 5th or 6th grade ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies) or Math 5-9 (for grades 5, 6, 7, or 8) or Math 6-12 (for grades 6, 7, or 8)
  • At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

  • Passing a background check, as required by law, including screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Nice To Haves

  • Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress) if teaching English Language Arts
  • ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress)
  • Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom in a relevant grade level
