The Middle School Math and Science teacher will oversee the delivery of the 7th grade Math and 7th grade Science curriculum. They will partner closely with the other Middle School Math and Science teachers to further develop and curate a comprehensive, effective, and cohesive 6th-8th grade curriculum. The teaching load consists of two sections of 7th grade Math and two sections of 7th grade Science. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Middle School students and appreciate the opportunity to work with this age-group that is experiencing lots of transitions in three short years. They will also be a strong collaborator with other teachers and community members, a commitment to meeting the learning needs of each student, a teaching style that supports differentiated instruction, and an interest in helping to build our School community. As a teacher in the Middle School, this individual will also serve as an advisor and participate in various student, community, and professional development activities. Additional responsibilities include being actively involved in regular faculty meetings, supervising students during assigned duty periods, and accompanying students on an annual outdoor education trip.
