About The Position

Corpus Christi Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated, and enthusiastic Middle School teacher to join our vibrant school community. We are looking for an educator who sees teaching as a profession built from a calling. The ideal candidate is someone who desires to partner with families to nurture students academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. At Corpus Christi, our teachers do more than teach subjects. The Math and History Middle School Teacher is responsible for creating a joyful, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment rooted in Catholic identity and Gospel values. The successful candidate will foster a love of learning while supporting the unique gifts and needs of every child.

Requirements

  • Practicing Catholics in good standing are encouraged to apply, particularly for positions teaching religion. Non-Catholic candidates must be willing to support and respect the mission, teachings, and values of Catholic education.
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field preferred.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Teaching certification preferred. Otherwise, candidates must be willing to work on obtaining one within 3 years.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the school community.
  • Organizational skills, flexibility, creativity, and a growth mindset.
  • Pennsylvania clearances as required by law.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate Catholic values throughout the curriculum and actively participate in the faith life of the school.
  • Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned and differentiated instruction in a safe, welcoming, and orderly classroom.
  • Promote respect, responsibility, and positive behavior.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, experiences, tools, and activities to inspire student engagement.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, support staff, and families.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school initiatives.
  • Organize projects, field experiences, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Contribute positively to the school community.
  • Other duties as assigned.
