About The Position

The Middle School Indoor Track Coach oversees the overall sport program and coordinates and supervises the athletic program and team. The coach fosters physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This is a stipend position with a stated salary range of $2,481.00, located at Watertown Middle School, and reports to the Athletic Director.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of the sport.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
Ability to react productively to change and manage multiple responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Previous coaching experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Plan all areas of the team.
Lead and assist coaching staff in coordinating efforts toward one program goal and ensure compliance with rules at all levels.
Analyze game strategy.
Implement skill development.
Provide coverage for bus trips.
Conduct video analysis of games.
Conduct statistical analysis of games.
Attend league and local, district, and state meetings when necessary.
Reach out to local youth groups to promote the sport in town.
Plan award ceremonies and select individual award winners.
