About The Position

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking an energetic, student-centered professional to join our Athletic Department in a full-time role as a Girls Middle School Physical Education teacher. This role combines Physical Education and athletic program support. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with middle school students, fostering a positive environment, and contributing to a strong, values-driven athletics program. This is a full-time, 10-month position with benefits.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families

Nice To Haves

Degree in Physical Education or related field
Experience working with middle school-aged students
Coaching experience in a school or club setting
A genuine enthusiasm for working with students and being part of a school community

Responsibilities

Lead Girls Middle School Physical Education classes (Grades 5-8) focused on wellness, movement, and enjoyment of physical activity
Create a supportive, inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable participating and being active
Encourage confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness
Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
Assist with the day-to-day needs of the Athletic Department
Support communication, organization, and overall program operations as needed
Contribute to a positive and professional athletic environment
Complete other related duties as assigned
Serve as a head or assistant coach for interscholastic teams
Supervise games, practices, and athletic events as assigned
Represent the school and Athletic Department in a positive and professional manner
