About The Position

Charlotte Latin School is seeking a Middle School Girl’s Head Soccer Coach to begin February 2027. The coach will lead the middle school girls’ soccer team, including conducting tryouts, assigning player positions and playing time, running drills and practices, providing player feedback, and coaching home and away games. The role also involves managing team uniforms and equipment, communicating with parents and athletes, and assisting the Program Head with development of the Girls’ Middle School program. The coach is responsible for supporting the safety and well-being of all student-athletes. The position requires after-school availability starting at 3:30 PM for practices and games, and may involve long or irregular hours as needed. The working environment includes intermittent physical activity and exposure to a range of materials, equipment, noise levels, and indoor temperatures.

Requirements

Experience coaching on a school or club team, and/or experience as a college or competitive high school soccer player.
A positive, upbeat coaching style.
A love of working with children in this age group.
Commitment to wellness and working with the whole child.
Willingness and ability to resolve conflicts with colleagues, parents, and between students.
Ability to build strong rapport with colleagues and serve as a collaborative team player.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
After-school availability starting at 3:30 PM for practices and games.
Ability to work long or odd hours as needed.
