The Teacher is responsible to provide an appropriate educational atmosphere which encourages positive student learning and to participate in a dynamic setting with other classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum specialists and other staff members in the development and implementation of the school’s programs and goals. This role involves working with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement hands-on lesson plans for students, diagnosing and analyzing for the purpose of providing appropriate instruction, and utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to meet the individual needs of students. The teacher will assess student progress, utilize classroom management techniques, and participate in professional development programs. Cooperation with the principal and staff, maintaining accurate student records, and ensuring a safe learning environment are also key responsibilities. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, professional relationships with parents, and encouraging parental involvement. Additionally, the teacher will maintain all required records, assist in the protection of student and school property, stay updated on current technology, monitor students in a testing environment, and perform all tasks in accordance with Diocesan Catholic Schools policies.
