About The Position

Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools serving grades K–12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. The Middle School ELA/Social Studies Teacher leads a classroom and works as part of a team to support student growth and learning. The teacher builds strong relationships with students and helps them develop academically and personally while maintaining high behavioral and academic expectations.

Teachers participate in regular data meetings, approximately 20 administrative observations, and nearly 300 hours of professional development over the school year. The daily hours are 7:15 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. The role is scheduled to start in July 2027. Salary is $74,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher.
• Commitment to building a joyful classroom culture and maintaining high behavioral and academic expectations.
• Commitment to fostering diversity through anti-racist practices and removing bias.
• Belief that great teaching closes the achievement gap and that students are capable of success.
• Professional, warm, and collaborative approach with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to start in July 2027.
