About The Position
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of Middle School Career & Technical Education Curriculum Committee Member. This role involves working directly with subject area and/or curriculum administrators to complete a variety of assignments within a mandated time frame. Assignments include evaluating instructional materials and developing pertinent curriculum documents aligned to the learning standards. Committee members should have participated in professional development to increase knowledge and skills required for committee work.
Requirements
- Hold a New York State certification in the subject area applied for.
- Currently employed with Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured teacher.
- Knowledge of the New York State Middle School CTE Learning Standards.
- Knowledge of the application of scientifically based research.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate instructional materials.
- Develop pertinent curriculum documents aligned to the learning standards.
- Participate in professional development to increase knowledge and skills required for committee work.
