About The Position

Kenowa Hills Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Boys Basketball Coach at Kenowa Hills Middle School. The district has strong community support and a Boosters Program that supports its sports programs. The coach will help build a successful basketball program and prepare student-athletes socially, mentally, and physically to meet the challenges of participation. The position requires working effectively with other district coaches and communicating openly with the administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of basketball and its rules.
• Documented record of success coaching high-school-age student-athletes.
• Strong personal ethics.
• Ability to serve as a positive professional role model.
• Ability to demand a high standard of conduct and discipline from student-athletes.
• Effective communication skills with athletes, coaches, parents, and administration.
• Michigan State Police clearance before an offer of employment; the candidate is responsible for the background-check fee.
• Ability to meet the described physical demands, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
