About The Position

The Middle School Art Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners. The teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students. The teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning. The candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment.

Requirements

Valid MN Art Teaching license.
Student-centered mindset that models a commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels.
Demonstrated use of research-based instructional & engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to achieve student learning results.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
